Introduction

I have been making a range of journals, notebooks and albums since 2000. Though, as far as I can recall, I’ve always been obsessed with books…not the reading type mind but the empty ones…those dusty old journals, beautifully crafted Victorian ledgers and the long forgotten leather pocket book.
Finally I realised I was just feeding a stationary fetish and so i thought a suitable ‘cure’ would be to make my own. I’m not convinced it actually worked?

Requesting personalised work

In this age of cheap mass production, I believe there is still a niche for bespoke and individualised work. So I welcome personal copper or leather commissions, bringing to life the ideas and concepts of others.
Simply put, I just enjoy making books. Books to be filled with stories of adventure or woe, memoirs and artwork or maybe just a shopping list.
